In April of this year, I sadly lost my wonderful mum after a brief but valiant battle against cancer. In the last week of her life she was cared for by the brilliant Mary Stevens Hospice.
Mary Stevens Hospice is a local facility taking care of families since 1991. They offer patients with incurable or life-limiting illnesses the opportunity to enjoy their lives to the fullest, however long that life may be.
P24 - The Longest Day' to be held on Saturday 20th June 2020 (summer solstice).
The concept is simple - starting at 8.00am I run 1 mile at any pace I like. I can run out and back, up and down my road, round the block, in my garden, even on my treadmill. Then at 9.00am I do it again. Same again at 10, 11, 12, 1, 2......on the hour, every hour, 1 mile, run, walk or crawl, you get the idea. I will repeat for 24 hours, running my final mile at 7.00am, on the hour, on Sunday 21st June.
