Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 4th May I will be setting out to walk the Coast-to-Coast Path, which runs for 192 miles through the Lake District, the Pennines and the Yorkshire Moors. This will be an arduous (though hopefully rewarding) walk which I aim to complete in 14 days, and while I will of course be paying my own costs, I'd like to take the opportunity to raise some money for two really worthwhile causes.
1. The Kasiisi Porridge Project gives rural schoolchildren living near the Kibale National Park in western Uganda a meal every day. Many of them walk barefoot up to eight miles each way daily and stay at school till 6.00 pm. Three-quarters of them are too poor to bring lunch and many go without breakfast. The project is now moving on to achieving self-sufficiency by developing a school farm complex.
2. Relate Richmond/Kingston/Hounslow's work with children and young people who have been affected by the break-up of their parents marriage or relationship or by other issues in school or at home.
Any donation you might make will be gratefully received and will be divided equally between these two charities so please consider sponsoring me.
