We're doing this on 23rd and 24th May 2012 to mark the 70th anniversary of radar research being moved from Dorset to Malvern.</p> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 12px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 1.3em; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; color: #73645d; line-height: 1.3; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">The development of radar was one of the most significant technological developments made during World War II. The work of&nbsp;a handful of brilliant scientists and engineers back then played a pivotal role in equipping and supporting our service personnel carry out their brave&nbsp;and vital roles.</p> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 12px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 1.3em; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; color: #73645d; line-height: 1.3; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">Our ride marks an historic event, a&nbsp;significant one for the town of Malvern as the start of its association with defence technology which continues to this day.&nbsp; At QinetiQ we remain proud of the support that we provide to our Armed Forces on the front line. And&nbsp;by undertaking this ride, we hope we can help&nbsp;improve the lives of some of our&nbsp;brave service personnel&nbsp;wounded in action.</p> <p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 12px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 1.3em; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; color: #73645d; line-height: 1.3; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">Please give generously!</p> </span></p>
