I am pleased to report that the 633km (400 miles), third leg of our mammoth cycle ride for Yes 2 Life, from London to Istanbul is scheduled to take place from 23rd to 28th of September. This year we are starting at last years finishing point in Munich and then cycling to Venice over the Alps via the Brenner pass. It seems that my Formula 1, Lance Armstrong, industrial cycling shorts will be severely tested once more and I can only hope that they turn many of the miles into piles of smiles and not into something with the cheery bit missing.
With your help, my bicycle has now raised over £11,800 on the first two legs of the London - Istanbul Challenge. I know that times are much tougher this year (and believe me I speak from experience) but please remember that these troubles are as nothing compared to the burden that some carry.
Yes to Life is a cancer charity that specialises in assisting many cancer stricken individuals and those who devote so much of their time to caring for them. Through fundraising events such as this, Yes 2 Life generates funds to inform patients and their carers and to give them financial support towards consultations and treatments. Yes 2 Life is the first and only charity directly supporting people with cancer in accessing complimentary and alternative medicine.
