Rocela Coast to Coast Cycle Ride - 2012 · 15 June 2012

Hand in Hand is passionate about giving children born in poverty a hope for the future. Our ultimate aim is for each child's life to be transformed and the cycle of poverty to be broken.

Story

The Rocela C2C Team successfully completed the cycle road and have raised almost £5000 in the process. The weather was grim and they had to battle torrential rain for most of the 3 days. Despite this they never stopped smiling. I am so very proud of them - they were magnificent! A huge thanks from the New Hope community. Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Between 15th and 17th June Martin Mutch, Chris Reason, Jane McCulloch, Jason Pepper, Judy Jackson, Julie Hatcher, Sarah Hunt, Tom Wylie, Gill Connell and Val Holden from Rocela, in Knutsford, will be cycling 150 miles between Whitehaven on the West coast and Sunderland on the East coast. We are raising money to build a new house for a homeless family in Uplands, Kenya. The before and after photos below show families who have benefited in the past. They give you an idea of what we are trying to do and how life-changing a new home will be for the family.
