My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In February we will be trekking 100km across the Sahara Desert to raise fundsd for Scottish Epilepsy Initiative, to help the 40,000 people living with epielpsy in Scotland. We have lots of different fundraising events coming up and will keep you updated with how we are getting on. Here's a wee poem for now...

Marrakesh Madness
It looks really easy this training schedule,
when it's so far away,
100 kilometres in the Sahara,
trekking 7 hours every day.

They say that it is good for you,
this old walking lark,
I hope we will remember that
When we're trekking in the dark!

But when we're walking in Morroco,
Up the dunes and down again.
No excuses! Rise and shine,
put up with the blister pain.

We've got to keep on pushing
The finish line our aim,
All we want to do is get there
Speed and times are not our game.

The next six months will be busy,
with ceilidhs, bag packing and gigs.
Dashing white sargent and strip the willow,
will certainly make us all dizzy.

We're helping Scottish Epilepsy Initiative
and we are asking you to give
a small donation to the cause,
Perhaps a bob or two?

So thanks for all the support
And helping us get through,
I hope that you feel proud of us
A great big huge thank you!
