26 Marathons in 26 days!!

Starting on 5 April 2010, pulling the famous Ice Bird, part of my "around the world run", I shall run 26 measured marathons in 26 days.

I feel the need to do something important for the children of Britain and by doing this I intend to raise awareness and funds for Helen & Douglas House in Oxford and for Ty Hafan, the family hospice for young lives in Wales,

Helen & Douglas House provides respite and end of life care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions, as well as support for the whole family.

Helen House was the worlds first childrens hospice and Douglas House is the worlds first hospice specifically for young adults aged 16 to 35.

It costs over 4.5 million a year to run both hospices and the vast majority comes from voluntary funding.

Ty Hafan provides comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families, helping them make the most of the time they have left together. It a vital service that is provided totally free as a result of your generous donations. If you wish to donate to Ty Hafan www.justgiving.com/Rosie-Swale-Pope
