<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">Inventive IT and their friends at Al Fresco Holidays are taking part in this year's Manchester Winter Urbanathlon.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">We're running to raise money and awareness for SPARKS and in the name of Ruby Hope Mackenzie, daughter of our good friend Brian and his wife Lisa, who has spent the first few weeks of her life in intensive care having been born with an array of health problems. Ruby has Down's Syndrome but also suffered a severe brain haemorrhage whilst still in the womb - the cause of which is still unknown. Ruby faces many challenges in her life and unfortunately the extent of her disabilities will only become apparent as time goes on.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">SPARKS work in the hope that one day ALL babies will be born healthy and stay healthy. Through the research they fund, the aim is to improve the quality of life for children and families affected by serious illness or disability today, whilst seeking ways to better diagnose, treat and prevent these conditions in the future.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">It's a worthy cause and if that's not enough, it would make a big difference to us when we're out training in the cold, dark November nights to see your support.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">The run itself is on 27/Nov in Platt Fields park near Fallowfield in Manchester and we'd love to see you down there. We'll probably be cold, wet and muddy so if you put a bit extra in your flask for us it would be appreciated :-)</span></p>
