Story
Thank you to everyone who sponsored me for the Great South Run, Salisbury Hospice were very grateful for the donations you all made. I finished the run in 1 hour and 33 minutes.
It’s now time to get serious. My next stepping stone is the London Marathon 2014, the thing that makes it extra special is that I am running on behalf of Ovarian Cancer Action, so all the money raised will go towards the vital research being undertaken at the Hammersmith Hospital to try and seek more effective ways of treatment.
As most of you know, Laur suffered from Ovarian cancer at the young age of 26. Laur was diagnosed in January 2012 and sadly passed away in March 2013. She was my best friend for 17 years and a wonderful person to know and be around. She was a true inspiration while she was ill. Never moaned, remained positive and was always looking forward.
It’s a known fact that ovarian cancer is the silent killer and not as well known as other cancers. I want to raise as much money as possible to make more people aware and help the scientists with their research to try and crack down on this horrible disease that took Laurs Life.
Thank you so so much for your help and support.
