It did for Dudley Moore and my Mum: PSP - Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

It's a horrid disease, featuring in Julie Walter's recent 'A Short Stay in Switzerland' - the true story of a GP who - having received a diagnosis- chose to end her life early rather than face the end game: being unable to speak, walk, swallow or even move her eyes.

Never heard of it? Well, it's just starting to be understood - yet it's three times more common than Motor Neurone disease ...

Shortly after Mum died, I decided to take on this run to raise some money for the PSP association. As you can see on the left, I finished 2089th out of 10,000+ and in a time of 1hr 46' 19". :-)  I had a terrific day - from the waist up. The run was like a tour of central london given by a fitness trainer: surrealy spectacular and strenuous.

It was a privilege to be able to do this and to be supported by all of you who donated, so thank you. ... and for those that haven't yet donated, it's not too late! I'll be keeping this page up for a while yet.
