My story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I decided to walk from Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG) this summer (2011) to raise funds for Naomi House & Jack's Place - a hospice for children and young adults with terminal illnesses and life-limiting conditions.

Your donations will support the tremendous work of the hospice in caring for the children and their families during these difficult times. Please visit their website for more information.

My journey started in Cornwall on 1st June and I completed it in the far North of Scotland some 1055 miles later on the 8th August. I feel incredibly privileged to have had the opportunity to attempt and successfully complete this challenge. It has provided me with many fantastic memories and experiences which will stay with me forever.

The support from family, friends and colleagues has been tremendous and contributed hugely to the absolute enjoyment I have had from it. Similarly the generosity from these same people to my chosen charity has been outstanding, as has that from complete strangers I met on my travels.

It is not too late to contribute and your donation really will make a difference - thank you.

Russ

I thought you need to go to Scotland to check the sites for temperature control so Graham should consider this work and pay your expenses as well.
