Firstly, may I say a huge thank you to everyone who supported our James Bond fund-raising event on Saturday 17th April. You all helped raise a total of just under £1,700 for Diabetes UK!!! Once again, thank you for all your kind generosity and support....it is much appreciated!!

I am going to run the London Marathon on behalf of Diabetes UK as my sister is a type 1 diabetic and was diagnosed at the age of 12. I also have a number of other friends and family members who either have diabetes or are affected by the condition in some form.

I received my place in this year's London Marathon in mid January and therefore have 3 months to train....no fags and no beers for me!! People keep telling me it will all be worth it when I cross the finish line on the big day and I really hope they are right!

Any donation will be much appreciated and will keep me motivated to complete this event on behalf of Diabetes UK who have provided so much for my sister and millions of other diabetes sufferers.
