Hi all,
Well, in a moment of madness I agreed to doing it, my feet and my legs won't forgive me come 12th October, but the upshot of it is, what I'm trying to say is.....I'm doing a run (an arf marafon - 13 miles).
Running on behalf of both the MHA scheme, which does good work nationwide in the provision of care homes for the elderly, and also the Sinfin "Live at Home" scheme, who my Mum works for and who provide support and social outlets for potentially isolated older people in the Sinfin area of Derby.
I hate asking for money off people and you can be assured I won't be asking again (not soon anyway!) but if you could spare a couple of quid, I would really appreciate it. It was a moment of weakness in which I agreed to it, but I will enjoy completing it (hopefully!) and to think I had raised a few quid for a couple of worthwhile charities, well, would make it more worthwhile and maybe make the aches and blisters less upsetting..
Thank you,
Russell
