****UPDATE - 7th November 2011 - We did it!! The personal benefits have been well worth all the early starts. Watching the sun rise on a normal day has been incredible. I am pleased to report Uncle Colin is doing really well too. Thank everyone for supporting us! ****

****UPDATE - WEEK 5/10 .... HALF WAY AND GOING WELL!! THANKS TO EVERYONE SUPPORTING US, IN PARTICULAR THOSE WHO HAVE DONATED AFTER SEEING MARK THOMAS' PAGE!****

Mum, Jonathan and I are running/walking 5km each week for 10 weeks. If anyone would like to join us, let us know!

There are various reasons for this challenge:

- My Uncle Colin is founder and CEO of the International Medical Education Trust 2000 (IMET2000), a British charity that aims to educate tomorrow's generation of health professionals to a global standard of expertise. He is recovering from an incredible heart operation performed by a top surgeon who he worked with some years ago. We wish to support their continuing work.

- I am 15 weeks pregnant at the time of writing and wish to get out there into the fresh air and exercise!

- I struggle to get out of bed in the mornings, partiularly on Mondays and need motivation to do so. Running with others is helping, as is the thought of supporting this great cause.
