Well we completed the ride, see the orange line for the route x 2! The 'not so flat' route was quite challenging although this increased the sense of achievement! After putting on suncream, the rain came down heavily, bad idea there!! A good day, thanks for the sponsorship!!!

Been a wet day today! After deciding to go on a practice ride, we decided to brave the rain. 3 hours and 27 miles later, there was nothing on us that was dry!! We are committed, or we should be!

Current members of the team are Rachel Schofield, Johnny Hamer, Tom Walters, Mark Butler, Jo Dagnall and Fiona Bonser. All of us are starting the painful training process with the exception of Tom who is quite fit already!!
This season’s charity theme at work is ‘Get Fit for Summer’ – and there’s no denying that we could all do with a bit of that!! We originally considered a sponsored walk and picked our location – the scenic 25mile circuit around Rutland Water. Although some of us thought that this was just not challenging enough (mentioning no names - Jo!) – so we’ve upped the pressure and landed on cycling around Rutland water, twice! Considering most of us haven’t been on a bike in years, we’re not quite sure what we've got ourselves into but we'll soon find out...
Onto the serious stuff, the reason we’re doing this is to raise money for a good cause. The charity we’ve chosen is Treetops Hospice which provides care for people in the Nottingham/ Derby area with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease. Their care and support has really helped people close to us so please support us if you can.
