My story

 

On Friday 4th December, I will be sleeping rough in aid of Swindon's homeless charity - Threshold Housing Link.  This single night will be tough, but the thought of never having a place to call your own, even if it's just one room, is very sad.  My daughter Lucy (aged 14) wants to join me too, so I think we may be slightly grouchy the next day :o)

Threshold Housing (http://www.thl.org.uk) has a few hostels in Swindon, from the 24 hour access type, to the resettlement hostels helping the residents to get back on their feet and eventually move on.  There are still many people who get turned away at night because there aren't enough beds. 

Please think about this when you are decorating your home for Christmas and give as much as you can to help Threshold to continue their essential and, in many cases, life saving work.

Also, London artist Anna Page (http://www.myspace.com/annapagemusic) will be performing songs from her latest album at 8pm on the day at Immanuel Church, Upham Road, Swindon.  So come along and say Hi and buy her CD!
