After running since the age of 11, the urge to run a marathon had not really taken hold at all. Up unitl this point I was more than happy running in circles in the summer and then running through cold muddy puddles in the winter! Then for some reason I thought it would be a good idea for 2014.

As many of you will know, myself and Bec have been through some dark times in the past years and although I have been lucky enough to secure a place that does not require a minimum fundraising target, this is an excellent opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause that is close to both our hearts. It also ensures that every pound raised will go directly to the charity.

This is hopefully a challenge that I will undertake only once and I am desperate to make sure that the time I run I will be happy with, especially when people ask that dreaded question "Oh your a runner, have you ever done a marathon?". 

At first, I certainly underestimated the challenge of preparing yourself properly for running this far. My respect for people who have done this in the past has certainly been heightened. I am sure that most people on Facebook have been thoroughly bored of seeing continual posts about running, just a few more weeks to go and they wont be popping up as much! :)
