Story

PLEASE KEEP DONATING:

Santa's Toy Sack now aims to buy The Evelina Children's Hospital a 'Spirometer' for their patients with allergies who often experience problems with their breathing. A Spirometer is used to find out how well the lungs are working, how they hold and use air.

Our Statement of Purpose

Santa's Toy Sack Challenge aims to put a smile on the faces of children staying at the Evelina Children’s Hospital, part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, this Christmas. We then plan to share a smile with children in foster care centres across London .

We're calling for Londoners to help us fill the largest Toy Sack EVER which we will present to children at the Evelina Children’s Hospital-one of London's busiest hospitals.

Santa’s Toy Sack and the Evelina Children’s Hospital Appeal are hoping to set London ’s record for the biggest sack of toys.

For most us, Christmas is a time to be in the familiar, warm surroundings of home with our loved ones. For children in hospital, festive cheer is offered through the tireless and selfless acts of the staff who create a fun environment for their young patients, at this special time of year.

Santa’s Toy Sack Challenge will provide toys and donations to the Evelina Children’s Hospital and children in foster care centres to let them know London is thinking of them this Christmas.

The charity challenge is supported by celebrity couple Sanjeev Bhaskar and Meera Syal, the stars of The Kumars at No.42.

Sanjeev said: “Making a small donation to Santa’s Toy Sack is a brilliant way for Londoners to get into the Christmas spirit and make a difference to our capital’s children.”

Meera said: “This past year has been memorable with our own very special gift of a baby boy. Sanjeev and I are looking forward to our family Christmas together, but thousands of children are not in such a position.”

The Santa’s Toy Sack Challenge is being organised by a group of friends with a vision to make this an enjoyable Christmas for those children being treated at the Evelina Children’s Hospital. The friends, each in full time employment, are unstoppable in their efforts to ensure that Santa arrives with a sack full of presents for the children at Christmas.
