THIS IS FOR JO…..and the Rowcroft Hospice

My wonderful dear friend Jo, has now passed away from bone cancer. 

She has been an incredible source of inspiration to all of us, at the GLORIOUS CHORUS, for friends, and especially for myself.  She had an amazing voice and singing was her source which made her hanging in there for quite some time!!! What an amazing woman!

It is for Jo that I want to undertake the Trekking Challenge of the GREAT WALL OF CHINA to support the Rowcroft Hospice in their incredible task of taking care of the very ill.  

Jo was not only inspiring me to sing and helped me to sing in front of the public for the first time, she was an incredible friend and it was she, who wanted me to do this for her. She helped me to set this page up.  Originally I planned to go  this year, but I have postponed it now for  October 2013.  The challenge is to raise £2.900 for August 13, cut off date. 

The money will go directly to the Rowcroft Hospice in Torquay, where she has been cared for all these past months. Rowcroft Hospice has made Jo's life easier, as it does for so many others. It costs £400 per patient per day to keep it running.

I know how much Jo would love to give something back to Rowcroft: she can’t raise to this challenge but I can.

If you help me to do this, it would be wonderful. This is my first fundraising challenge ever, but Jo taught me something so valuable and she taught me with so much love and grace:

LOVE LIFE AND LIVE IT BOLDLY – Do it before it is too late!

PS The fundraising amount includes my travel & accommodation, food, transfers and guides as well as back-up team. Visa, airport taxes, applications etc will be paid by me.
