Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
You are probably wondering, why the heck I am doing this...well good question and as I begin training during these cold dark mornings, I am beginning to ask myself the same question. When I signed up to this run, my thought process was along the lines of...
This Journey began around 5 years ago. I was a big boned 22 stone man and running was "what other people did". Now a much leaner 14.5 stones (still big boned); and through the inspiration of some friends (stupidity of some pests!), I thought the ultimate challenge to test my levels of fitness would be to complete the London Marathon on 25th April 2010.
As part of this 26.2 mile TREK around London, I hope to raise money for St Johns Ambulance (SJA)
Many of you will have seen (but hopefully not had to use) St John Ambulance providing care and support to the general public at various events ranging from the local school bonfires to emergency services in times of crisis such as the London Bombings in 2005. Over the last few weeks, volunteers have been busy supporting communities affected by the cold weather.
SJA provides a familiar and reassuring sight to all members of the public and this work could not be carried out without the support of charitable donations. For further information on SJA, please visit http://www.sja.org.uk/
I thank you in advance for your support and, for those interested, I will continue to keep this page updated with training progress,
Sagar
