I will have been building up to this for 18 months and been in serious training for the past 3 months. I've never been a runner and when I did a mini triathlon a few years ago 3 miles nearly finished me off!
Vale Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation centre is fantastic local charity of which I am a Trustee.They care for injured wildlife which comes to them from a large area of the Midlands as well as running courses to educate others in animal care and advising people further afield on how to deal with casualties. They rely on donations and takings from their charity shop as they receive no funding, costs of giving the animals the best possible treatment are high and, like all small charities they have been hit by the recession.
