Dear All, first a big thank you for all your help in fund raising, support, and donations for this great Charity. As you are aware we have had a week of no fly zone so unfortunatly our Peru trip had to be cancelled this was completely out of our hands.
The great news is that we have now rebooked for the trip to take place in September 2010.
This means on with the training and fund raising. So again thanks for your support and we will keep you up dated with our progress. xxx THANK YOU xxx
Hi, my name is Sally you may or may not know me but first thanks for visiting my Just page.
I am off on a Trek of a life time with my very close friend Lynn, the trek will be in Peru and will last 10 days.
We are doing this to help raise money for a charity call The Red and White Appeal which is part of the Southampton hospital charity. The reason behind this challenge is for research into an illness which Lynn was diagnosed with called Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL). The doctors were puzzled because the average age of a CLL patient is 65, with no cure yet.
Lynn decided that there are a few things that she would like to do while she can live life to the full, one of them being this trek and when she asked me I was blown away as this would be something that I will always have with me in the years to come that we did this together and raised funds, awareness and hope for many people.
If you know Lynn and myself you will see how this is going to be right out of our comfort zone, also a laugh a minute when we tell the story on return.
This not only means a lot to two good friends but the charity, so please dig deep and donates what you can to help make this happen.

Well I just wanted to add a note to let you all know how it is going. As you can see I have hit my target and a little more which is great but please keep donating as every penny is for a great charity. I am full on with my training as it is only 12 weeks to go so any notes of encoragement would be great.
So with training in hand it is down to getting the kit list sorted. Will let you all know how fit I get and last minute things just before we head off on the 17th April.
This just leaves me to say a great big thank you to all of you for your support.
