Story
I am doing something special & slightly crazy in memory of my lovely friend Ann Lea who sadly passed away aged just 50. I became the same age last year in December & wanted to do a fundraiser with a difference to remember her by in my 50th year. We used to do some crazy things for charity & she was always full of fun so I wanted to combine this with a passion of mine for drumming. I started to play far later than most due to being told it was a boy thing when I was younger but as I got older I decided life was too short not to follow your dreams, so spurred on by losing several friends much earlier than they should have gone & Ann's encouragement & laughter at my new venture I finally got my dream to learn. Sadly she never saw me play but would be highly amused to think I am now doing this challenge in her memory. I have decided to raise funds by trying to get myself pictured with 50 Drum kits/Drummers by the end my 50th year & have set myself the target of raising £1,000 for the hospice whilst doing so.They will be charting my progress throughout this time & all I ask is that people help by donating to this very much needed & worthy cause using this page or direct to me to pass on to the hospice. Let's raise as much as we can, any amount however small is a great help as every penny really does count. Thank You for taking the time to read this & hopefully deciding to donate, All at the Hospice are very grateful for your continued support, as am I. :-) love to you all, Sandi xx
