During August, September and October I will be taking part in 5 physically demanding challenges over 3 months to raise money for the Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust, St John's Hospice in particular.
Sadly my mum passed away on 2 June 2011 after a long battle with lung cancer. During her fight she was cared for by the Macmillan Team at St John's Hospice.
I was amazed with the level of care and attention the staff, nurses and volunteers gave to my mum throughout her stay. Their dedication to go above and beyond the call of duty was astounding. The family was always made to feel welcome at St John's whilst by her side.
To show my appreciation to everyone at St John's I will partake in the following:
1. 10 mile Obstacle Run - Total Warrior (August)
2. 26 mile Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge (August)
3. 48 mile Cross Pennines Bicycle Ride - Starting in Skipton (September)
4. Great North Run - 13 Mile Run
5. 10km Obstacle Run - Men's Health Survival of the Fittest (October)
I would like to repay their kindness with gratitude for all that they have done.
Please donate to this worthy cause and pass this message onto friends and family.
Thank you.
