Hello Everyone, On 20th September 2009 i am attempting to run the great north run for the Newcastle cat and dog shelter.
I have always been a massive animal lover and used to adopt rabbits from the shelter at a young age. Every year on holiday in Spain there used to be loads of stray cats so the first thing i would do was beg my parents to go and buy a massive sack of cat food to feed them whilst we were there.
Once i passed my driving test i used to give my parents lifts and instead of pocket money/petrol money i asked them to donate a large ammount of food to the Cat and Dog shelter at the beginning of every year.
I am running for this charity because i still like to pop in and give and old towels, clothing etc that they can use for bedding. The shelter get no government funding and purely relies on public donation and volenteers.
All money raised will be used for food, bedding, vets bills and other general costs of running the shelters.
Hopefully you can all sponser me to run this half marathon not just because its a good cause but because it is going to take a massive effort.
