It is my great love for walking and desire to raise awareness of autism which has inspired me to take on the challenge of walking the coastal path from to Lands End.
Starting out on 2 April 2010 ‘World Autism Awareness Day’, the itinerary for the journey along our beautiful coast line is planned, I do hope you will be able to join me at various points along the way. My goal is to arrive at Lands End on 21 May. The full itinerary is on my page on the Lifeworks website www.lifeworks-uk.org/saraswalk.html
It is my hope that publicity from this walk will help to make more people aware of autism, and the typical day to day challenges that people on the autistic spectrum face due to their difficulties concerning social interaction and communication, sensory issues and anxieties.
With your help I hope to support two special charities:
· Lifeworks ‘SurfAble’ project, which offers a surfing experience for children with autism. Further details available from this link
· The RNLI – national appeal.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now and help make this challenge a success.
