My story

 

Hello there

Rather than waiting for the effects of chemo to take hold, I wanted to shave my head and raise money for Breast Friends. Based in Sutton Coldfield and Solihull, Breast Friends is a breast cancer support group that helps women get through this disease both with practical and emotional support. From helping with basic things like ironing to child support to advice on make-up and wigs.


I am one of the lucky ones - my cancer was caught early. I still have had to have surgery and experience the rigours of chemo, radiation and all sorts of drugs. I don't think I bother with anything invasive again after this so at least I can knock botox and massive breast implants on the head now :) Something as basic as losing your hair can fill you with dread though!
