Story

Updated on Aug 26th 2011 at 10:46 PM from the JustGiving API

I want to thank everyone for the positive messages and support I have been getting. Raising money for the Dougie Mac is something I have wanted to do since my dad passed on. Also with me donating the hair I have cut off to a charity that makes human hair wigs for children with cancer, I am really hoping that I help a child out there to feel a bit happier by having some nice hair until their own comes back.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those of you who know me, I have long hair that I love and never have it cut apart from keeping it trimmed. Well that is going to change on Tuesday September 13th. I am going to have my hair cut very short losing approx 8 - 10 inches of hair which I am donating to a charity that makes human hair wigs for children who have cancer.

I am getting sponsored for doing it so that I can also raise much needed funds for Douglas Macmillan who were very helpful and supportive when we were providing palliative care for my dad in his final few days. Please give whatever you can to help this fantastic charity. You never know, you may need their help one day although I truly hope that you don't.

The event is taking place at 12.30 at Set in Stone hairdressers in Stone and Sarah from Set in Stone has very kindly offered to do the cutting and styling for free as a donation to the event.
