I made it!! What a great experience. Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Centenary Fund.
2010 is Girlguiding UK's centenary year and they have challenged their adult members to take part in one of three 'Charity Challenges'. I have decided to take on the challenge of cycling from Paris to Geneva in September. This is a trip of over 500km completed in just 4 days cycling (gulp!). As well as the physical challenge, we have also been tasked with raising £1200 to take part in the trip and to raise funds for the Centenary Fund.
Some of my best childhood memories have come from guiding, particularly going on pack holidays and camping. These obviously cost money and not everyone is as lucky as I have been to be able to afford to go on these activities. This is where Girlguiding UK's Centenary Fund comes in, allowing any girl aged 5-25 to apply for funding to be able to participate in an event that hopefully will give them happy memories as good as mine.
Please help me achieve my goal by donating, be it big or small, and then hopefully I can make my family and my Brownies proud.
