My story
Hello,
If you know me at all you'll know that I've never really been the most motivated in terms of physical activities...or as some people call it...'being lazy'! I have however, since earlier this year been a member of a gym and managed to keep up a fairly regular attendance (and not just because they have a steam room!).
In a wee moment of madness, I decided I wanted to do something for charity and after looking up various events, I thought if I was going to do something tough then it should be something that will be a once in a lifetime experience too! So, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro....it'll be physically and mentally difficult but as I'm raising money for CCLASP (Children with Cancer and Leukaemia Advice and Support for Parents http://www.cclasp.net/ ) which is an Edinburgh based charity - of which the charity name says it all - then I'm willing to step out of my comfort zone and take on this challenge. My trip has been confirmed for Thursday 11th October 2012. I'm paying for the trip myself however, there is an agreement with the charity that I raise £3800 for them and this is where you all come in! I will be doing various fundraising events over the coming year which I'd love for you to get invloved in plus I'll be keeping this page updated as to how we're getting on raising the cash!
I would be extremely grateful (and I'm sure the lovely people at CCLASP would be too) if you could possibly spare any amount of money to go towards my target! It's really easy to do either on here or a simple note to me with how much you would like to sponsor me/donate - no hurry for cash but would love to be able to keep an eye on my target and keep CCLASP updated as to how we're getting on!

They organise annual fun outings to keep the children smiling. Help with holidays to Disneyland. They have holiday homes in Berwick, Seton Sands and Perthshire.
