I will spend 3 months working for the Gwalior Children's Hospital organisation in India, between October 07 and January 08. As well as a Childrens Hospital, the organisation now also operates a Hospice for Children with HIV, a school for special needs, and is building an orphanage. In addition, it runs rural health services for young and old, and provides health education. I have offered to spend time teaching and playing with the children in the school and anywhere else I am needed.
The Gwalior Childrens Hospital Organisation receives no support from any level of government, which is why the organisation asks volunteers to set up web pages like this one to try to rise funds. When you donate, 100 per cent of the money goes towards supporting the health, education and welfare of Gwalior's homeless and disadvantaged people. All administration costs are paid by trustees and volunteer's costs are paid by the volunteers.
See http://www.gwalior.hospital.care4free.net/ for more details.
Please give generously.
Thanks,
Sarah.
