Hi all,
So it seems 450km across Kenya wasn't enough.... now its time for 500km in 5 days across Cambodia!! Nothing like a bit of 35 degree tropical heat to make it a bit more of a challenge!! The aim is to raise as much money as possible for the International Childcare Trust and its local project in Cambodia at M'Lop Tapang.
International Childcare Trust is a small charity which makes a big difference - to some of the poorest and hardest to reach children in Asia & Africa. Through local, grassroots partners they give children shelter, healthcare, education, training & hope for the future - their work is vital for children with no where else to turn.
This event is unique in that as the participant and fundraiser, you actually witness where the generous donations from friends, colleagues and families go. We will visit the M'Lop Tapang project for a day at the end and meet the children there.
M'Lop Tapang's primary goal is family reunification. The Team aims to develop positive relationships with families who are unable, but not unwilling, to take care of their children. These families, their children and M'Lop Tapang social workers endeavour to identify and find solutions to their problems.
After visiting the project in Kenya and seeing the amazing work that these teams do, I can say first hand that your donations will be going to a very worthy cause.
I will be covering 100% of the travel costs for my trip so all donations you make will go directly to the people who really need them.
Please give anything you can, it will be much appreciated!
Thanks!!
