Thousands of elderly people in Zimbabwe are living in poverty with no funds to buy the food they need to keep them alive.  Homes In Zimbabwe is a UK registered charity that provides food to over 1,600 elderly pensioners in Zimbabwe each year.

 

One of the key ways in which we do this is through a Soup Kitchen in Bulawayo.  Run entirely by volunteers, the soup kitchen feeds around 100 pensioners each day.  Without the Soup Kitchen, these people would starve; People who worked hard all their lives and saved for their retirement.  People who have had their savings wiped out and are now destitute and dependent on charity.
