<p>The "roguishly handsome" Captain Barnacle has kidnapped one of our very own: midshipman Sandy Trust!</p> <p>He has demanded a ransom payment of 1,250 pieces of eight (which works out to about &pound;1000) for his safe return.</p> <p>In a bizarre twist of fate, Captain Barnacle has stipulated that the payment be made to Ocean Youth Trust Scotland. We can only assume that this is to fund the training of new pirates.</p> <p>Still, the imperative thing is to get Sandy back safe and sound! Please give generously, otherwise we will all lose a dear colleague and close friend, and the Economic Capital team will lose their most valiant champion of Operational Risk thought leadership.</p>
