Story
Since the refugee crisis was reported in 2015, I have wanted to raise money for victims of war-torn Syria. I cannot begin to comprehend what it must feel like to live every day of your life in fear; while it may not be reported in the news all the time, the people of Syria have suffered so much since the conflict began.
Syria Relief was founded in Manchester when the conflict started in 2011. They work on the ground in Syria and can even reach people in rural or besieged areas. Money raised will go towards medical projects (e.g. hospitals in Syria, prosthetic limbs), education and orphan projects, as well as providing food baskets and winter kits. Take a look at their website if you would like to find out more about the amazing work they do, at syriarelief.org.uk
On Sunday 28th May, I will be running the Great Manchester Run for the third year in a row and I am so grateful to every person who sponsors me. No matter how big or small, every donation goes some way in alleviating the hardship of Syrian civilians. Thank you so much for visiting my page!
