The organisation aims at helping the children and youth from the most disadvantaged countries in the world to improve their lives by participating in sports and finding back their right to play. It works closely with local communities and the play programs set up are designed to teach children, whose life has been affected by war, poverty and diseases, the important skills like self-esteem, commitment, leadership, teamwork and a positive world view. Right To Play have been working with 720,000 children over 24 countries in the world, including Tanzania, Sudan, Zambia, Peru, Pakistan, Thailand, Lebanon etcetera.
I’ve chosen this organization because I believe giving back children their right to play is not just helping them to have a happy childhood and grow up happily, but more importantly, offer them a future to look forward to. I’ve been so blessed myself to have grown up in good heath with the right to play and receive higher education. But whenever I remember there are so many children out there growing up under the shadow of poverty without knowing a thing about the happiness and the right to play that I’ve long been taken for granted, I feel the need to do something for them.
Thank you so much for reading this far. I hope you would support this by donation. With £3 you can support the equipment for one child to participate in Right To Play activities. With £20, a child will be able to participate in regular and weekly sport and play activity for a whole year. Also, the important thing is not how much you donate but the heart to help those in need. Any amount of donation will greatly benefit those children in needs and put a smile on their face =)
