Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My brother Stuart has been going to the Archway respite centers for over 14 years now and with the help of my parents and hopefully anyone reading this page, we hope to raise enough money for helping to fund day trips and to upgrade facilities to aid the staff and carers that over the years have helped parents out with a break even if just for a couple of days.
This event was going to carried out by Stuart and myself but due to changes in his medication and the high risk of seizure he will be unable so taken his place will be our dad Richard and we have decided to climb a minimum of 7 munroes in 7 days starting on the 17 july 2010 from the Archway at Dyce carpark and over the next 7 days we hope to travel around Scotland and climb at least 1 munroe a day until the following Sunday when we will return to the Archway carpark and the end of the event .
Day 1: Ben Vorlich (Callander) and if time allows we will also do Stuc a'Chroin which can be down on the same walk.
From here we will drive to Fortwilliam and spend the night.
Day 2: Ben Nevis we will decide at the top wether we will continue and complete Carn Mor Dearg at the same time as this is reached from the summit.
We will stay the night in Fortwilliam again that night.
Day 3: Sgurr nan Coireachan, Garbh Chioch Mhor and Sgurr na Ciche these are completed in a loop so that it is hoped we can do the three if not we will do the first peak then descend.
Again the night will be spent in Fortwilliam.
Day 4: A'Chralaig and Mullach Fraoch-choire these again are set in a loop so will be doing them both in the day.
From here we will drive across to Loch Carron and spend the night there.
Day 5: The five sisters of Kintail which comprise of Sgurr na Ciste Duidhe, Sgurr na Carnach and Sgurr Fhuaran there is also 2 more peaks not classed as munros which are Sgurr nan Saighead and Sgurr nan Spainteach.
From here we will drive to Laggan and spend the night.
Day 6: Geal Charn will be done this day and will be treated as a rest day as its a bit shorter.
From here we will drive to Balletar and spend the final night.
Day 7: The Lochnagar hills which comprise of Cac Carn Beag, Carn a'Choire Bhaidheach, Carnant-Sagirt Mor, Cairn Bannoch and Broad Cairn.
We will stay in Balletar this night again before driving back to Archway in the morning.
My parents will be paying for the accomadation along the way and I will be covering all other costs as in fuel and food so all money raised will be going to Archway.
