Story
Welcome to Scuba Santas!
Please see http://www.scuba-santas.co.uk for more information!
We are are a group of UK scuba divers brought together through a diving forum called Yorkshire Divers. Each year (ok this will be our second year) around christmas time we dress up in santa costumes to raise money for a charity.
Last year we raised a few hundred pounds for the RNLI with 8 participating santas, a viking, a snowman, and a fairy. This year we have at least 5 times the numbers and each day the list grows! The event will be held at an inland dive site called Vobster Quay in Somerset. Last year the inland dive site were great supporters of this event and for this reason we return with happy memories.
We will be diving in Santa outfits and, if we get the go-ahead, will be aiming to break the world record for the largest number of simulataneous scuba diving father christmas’ at one time!
Not only is this a great advert for british scuba diving, it also raises funds for those in need at christmas, and despite the freezing temperatures puts a smile on some otherwise very grumpy people’s faces!
