Last year I was very lucky to come through a double heart attack against the odds (6% chance of living). I owe my life to the NHS / Ambulance Service and my heroes of the day Dinah Coogan, Dr Emma Spencer, Simon Edwards, Katie Brown & all the medics at HRI and Lucas 2 machine keeping my alive for 2 hours, after 9 goes on the defib and coming out of a coma after 36 hours.

The run organised by me is the 10 mile maximum I am allowed to do these days and keeping my heart rate below 140, on the run around the stadium I will be joined my some of my heroes of the day, and fellow running friends from the harriers and other clubs including park run the event that nearly cost me my life.

It my way of giving some thing back (the best way I know how - running)as a thank you and to inspire others not to give up despite all odds.

The event is raising money for the 'Keep it Up' Campaign representing the affiliation between the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Huddersfield Town.

For every £1 raised through 'Keep It Up' 50p goes to the YAA and the other 50p goes to the clubs Academy.  To date the fundraising partnership has helped raise over £1m to support the two very worthwhile organisations.
