As those who know me would probably realise, hauling myself over 26 miles isn't really something that's going to be easy.  Despite this, after an unfortunate momentary lack of sense, I decided 2010 was the year to give it a go and fulfil an ambition of mine by running the London Marathon. 

 

This opportunity was provided to me by a charity named Childcare. 

 

Their amazing team of professional carers co-operate with schools, local authorities, and the local community to provide both financial and emotional support to children who's lives are more complicated and challenging than most of us could possibly imagine.

The economic downturn has been hard on charities such as Childcare - not only does it impact them financially but at the very same time increases the need for the vital support they provide.
