Our Music Room is falling down!  Quite literally the floor is sinking and we urgently need to raise £250,000 to build a new Music Centre. 

Over 150 lessons are taught in the current practice rooms each week; every child learns music as part of their weekly curriculum; over 80% of the children learn one or more instruments; 130 children participate in one or more of the 12 bands, choirs and orchestras - but it is cramped and overcrowded with no sound-proofing or acoustics and the children and their music are suffering from the lack of facilities.

The new Music Centre will be double the size and it will be sound-proofed. There will be more practice rooms and a larger room for rehearsals which currently take place in the Dining Room/Assembly Hall.

We need your help please.  Any donation is gratefully received. The children in the Pre-Prep (aged 3 to 7) have been selling lettuces for 50p from their school vegetable patch to raise money, the Friends of Sherborne Prep organised a Summer Fete and more events are being planned - everyone is trying their hardest.
