Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Shakti Anand Orphanage Trust supports 2 existing projects in India whilst we are raising £200k for our school buildings fund.

From this Appeal £500 will go to this first ever all girls orphanage set up by Gandhi back inthe 1940's.

Our other appeal will support the slum children in Goa via our Parachute jump.

The remaining funds raised will go to the architects and surveyors so we can design the school.

You can specify where your funds go, the girls orphanage in Himalayas the  slum children in Goa or contribute towards our school building fund.

We are putting together a dvd of our work and this should become available soon.

I know its not easy to know where your money is going, we aim to have 90% on direct activity and 10% administration. As with all great start ups there is the initial investment and I have invested my time and money to date and are only more recently looking at other channels of fundraising. If you would like to help please let us know, drop us an email

info@shaktianandorphanage.com

So please dont give me xmas gifts or cards instead I would much rather you donated to our cause.

I will be going to India in late March 2010 and will be personally handing over the funds then.

Its an old cliche but effective: LET US PUT OUR MONEY WHERE OUR MOUTH IS!!
