Yes I did it! and it was a perfect day too.
Well it was amazing event with 17,000 all women runners and little old me! I certainly wasn’t alone. It was a real privilege to be there on the day and take part in such a huge event for a great charity. The atmosphere was really uplifting and the sun shone throughout.
It was a great feeling to have my family there to enjoy the event and watch me as I took part in a sea of runners, crowded it definitely was but it was worth it for all the supporters and amusing outfits along the way. It was a great feeling to have run non-stop all the way ... not in a record time but the finish line was a welcome sight, complete with goodie bag and the all important medal and t-shirt.
The training and all the hard work was definitely worth it.
Jensen has now started his new school and has really embraced his new world. Moon Hall School is a positive step forward for all those children who experience it. Fantastic.
The sense of achievement is two fold due to the amazing amount that all of you have donated and comes with heart felt thanks to each and everyone of you who have donated and those who have promised to and offline donations which are still accumulating and messages of support.... thank you it really means a great deal.
with best wishes
Shirley
