Well - one last event - this time, without even having the excuse of a persuasive friend "making" me do it, I find myself signed up for the Dublin Marathon..!!
I actually returned from Devon and saw that I had not made my fundraising target so decided to turn it into a triple whammy in an attempt to raise a few more pennies. I'm now thinking that this may have been a slightly extreme and potentially unnecessary reaction...the thing is..I don't even like running..!
So, As I won't be doing a marathon again..if you havent had a chance to sponsor me yet and do still want to...please follow the link..!
I have chosen to support Action Cancer. They are a local charity with all the money raised going to provide services for local communities within Northern Ireland. The charity provides invaluable funds for research, detection, prevention, support and awareness of cancer. More information can be found at; http://www.actioncancer.org/
I know in these recessionary times people are feeling pretty broke..but if you could spare a pound or the price of a pint..someone once told me..."every little helps!"
Thanks a lot,
Shirley
