Story

We are a small charitable trust, based in Horsforth, raising money to help rural schools in Eritrea.  The John Holmes Educational Trust for Eritrea is holding its first Eritriathlon on the 18th and 19th June 2016.

The Eritriathlon will comprise of three events starting at midday on Saturday 18th June with a 56 mile bike ride from Aireborough Baths in Guiseley to Kilnsey Cragg via Otley, Ilkley, Bolton Abbey, Grassington & Burnsall and back again.

The bike ride will be followed immediately by a mile-long swim (64 lengths) at Aireborough Baths.

On Sunday 19th June, the third event will start at 9am. This is a 27 mile circular walk known as The Otley 9 Leagues, which starts at Surprise View carpark on the Chevin (opposite The Royalty), drops down into Menston, up to the Cow & Calf, then on to Ilkley, Middleton, Denton, Timble, Leathley, Pool and back to the Chevin.
