Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year the father of my Best Man, Joe Scollon, died of a brain tumour.  Joe Scollon Snr is sorely missed by friends and family, alike.  On the recent first anniversary of his passing I decided to do something for the Brain Tumour Research Campaign which is the chosen charity of his family.  Brain tumour research is massively underfunded in the UK and around the world and needs as much help as we can give.  In an effort to do my bit, as unlikely as it may sound, I am going to run in the Silverstone 10k.  This involves running 2 laps of the grand prix circuit.  They may be the slowest laps ever completed but it is for a worthy cause!  Please help me by donating whatever you can spare for BTRC to continue their amazing work.  Anything you can give is massively appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

BTRC works with a Neurosciences team at Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals (Imperial College London) to promote research into the causes of brain tumours and possible new treatments, to raise public awareness of the desperate need for this research and the current lack of funding.
