A brief moment of madness and here I am running my 2nd Marathon. Having done London in 2001, I swore never again - obviously the memory had faded! New York presents a different challenge - more hills and likely to be freezing cold and/or raining, but all very worthwhile when running for such a good cause. I have been personally involved in supporting someone with cancer and an up lifting environment in which support and understanding can be offered is as much an integral part of fighting the battle as undergoing the treatment, especially when some hospitals can feel so gloomy. So I feel very much personally attached to supporting charities such as Maggies.
The ultimate aim is to hopefully cross the line in under 4 1/2 hrs, in a respectable condition :-) !? ... and to raise as much as I possibly can for Maggies. Any donation, no matter how small is really appreciated, so please give whatever you can. None of the donations are made public.
