Story
I am cycling 350km in sub-Sahara Africa over 5 days… The reason why I’m doing this? Because I CAN!
Who said that I am too old or too unfit to do some CRAZY challenge like this and it’s for a good cause. I am excited and I am nervous…..
The 350 km bike challenge is due to take place in Tanzania in November 2014. Please give your support, words of encouragement and guidance as I prepare for this cycle ride in aid of Teens Unite Fighting Cancer because YOU CAN TOO!
“If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you!”
Teens Unite is an independent charity dedicated to supporting 13-24 year olds with cancer and other life limiting illnesses. The charity’s main aim is to get teenagers who have been diagnosed with cancer to come together in a fun filled environment, giving them an opportunity to talk to each other and recognise that they are not alone in their battle.
The charity organises activities such as football stadium tours, beauty days, go karting, art sessions etc. Other activities and workshops are held at the charity’s respite residential home in Broxbourne Hertfordshire.
Teens Unite provide ongoing long term support for teens, whether they are undergoing treatment or in remission
Your kind donations will contribute to the workshops and activities that Teens Unite organise:
£30- will pay for a teen to attend a hospital workshop such as cake making, beauty session
£50- will buy the materials to hold a Motiv8 Art workshop with ten teenagers
£100- will provide takeaways/dvds for ten teens to 'sleep over' at the Teens Unite Respite Home
