Dear friends,
Please dig deep and donate now in the memory of our Patron Rev. John Bradley, who passed away suddenly on 12th Aug.09. John has been associated with Gwalior Childrens Charity - Help Children of India (formerly known as Gwalior Childrens Hospital) right from its start in 1997. I was shocked and devastated when I heard of the sad demise of John so suddenly and can not forget his last words when we met in June in Edinburgh, saying that he was looking forward meeting me on return from India in Sept. to hear all the news about our Snehalaya and its children, but........... It has been an irreparable loss to me personally and to our charity details on http://www.helpchildrenofindia.org.uk

Rev. Bradley has supported this work providing for disabled and destitute children since beginning, first while we were starting the hospital and rural health centres, which grew gradually added with eye and dental centre, physiotherapy and other services including a mobile hospital too. Then John was the first to start an appeal for the Orphanage to provide a life with happiness and dignity to the disabled children on streets of Gwalior. With combined efforts, we were able to start our "Snehalaya meaning the Home with Love" on 23rd Aug.2006. Now it has ten cottages, 63 children mostly disabled and or sick including HIV, C.P., Epilepsy etc. having been abandoned or orphaned. It also has a hospital and school for special needs on site spread out in 25 acres of land with farms, play fields, gardens, a cowshed, small poultry and bird house too. In addition to the residents in Snehalaya, all services are made available to the children and parents in surrounding villages too through these facilities there. We know John will live in our memories all the time but to make it more, we thought to make it for Snehalaya itself by making a "Pucca" road connecting Snehalaya to main road and naming it after Rev. John Bradley. It needs £10000.00 to do so.

I on behalf of Gwalior Childrens Charity and its all trustees, request you to donate as much possible for you to complete this road to Snehalaya and I am sure we can do it with your help and support. Please do not hesitate to call me or write to me for any questions or further information, Thanks,

BK
