On Tuesday April the 6th professional hairdressers from Toni & Guy in Bath are coming to the Somervalley FM studios, to shave my head to a balding pate between 4pm and 5pm. This will be done LIVE ON AIR and its all for Macmillan Cancer Support.

I'm Matt Clifford and I'm a radio presenter for Somervalley FM. I also like to get involved with some voluntary fundraising and last year I helped Macmillan Cancer Support at their 'Wheel at Weston' event and a monster collection at 'Cabots Circus'.  I may or may not have been involved with this. 'The New Stig?'

To start the year off with my friends at Somervalley FM, I have taken a leap of faith to get my head shaved for those lovely people at Macmillan. As you maybe aware, my hair is very important to me. It keeps my bonce warm and it prevents my intelligence from leaking out. Without it, I'm in trouble. However Macmillan are such an important charity and do such wonderful things, its worth getting it lopped off!

I don't want to lose my golden locks but for Macmillan, I'm prepared to go the way of Telly Savalas! But i will only do this if i can raise more then £500 so please, please give generously. Come down to the Farmers Market on April 3rd to say hi and perhaps make an additional donation, then tune in on 97.5 FM on the Monday afternoon to hear it all come off.

If its taken you 2 minutes to read this, in that time another person in the UK has been diagnosed with Cancer. Today it will total 822. And tomorrow and the day after.
Please, please help Macmillan. Make a donation, make a difference.

Yours shavingly,

Matt
